Local breweries are gaining popularity not only for their specialty drafts but also for the novel experience they provide. Many breweries are catching up to wine bars and vineyards with the fashionable experiences offered to guests. In Colorado Springs, brew pubs are popping up all over the place, providing the relaxed atmosphere of a bar but with class and craftsmanship.
There are currently 25 active breweries and brew pubs in Colorado Springs. The Colorado Springs Business Journal recently ranked breweries and brew pubs by number of barrels produced in the previous year. The leaders for 2018 include:
1756 Lake Woodmoor Drive, Monument, CO 80132
(4,556 barrels) – Pikes Peak Brewing Company instills the values of craftsmanship and community in their brewery from the bottom up. They source local ingredients and provide some of the best seasonal brews in Colorado Springs. Pikes Peak is also very active in the community, supporting several charity causes and awareness campaigns. They also serve wine and local cuisine at the bar, so you’ll never run out of options!

(2,000 barrels) – Red Leg Brewing Company is one of the largest veteran-owned breweries in Colorado Springs. They dedicate their specialty drafts to the men and women who serve our country, honoring them with good beer and positive vibes all day. They bring in a variety of craft beer every week, and invite you to visit the food trucks on the outside patio for a lunch or light snack while you visit.
2 East Pikes Peak Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80903
(1,996 barrels) – If you’re looking for great food and great beer, Phantom Canyon is where you need to be. Located in the historic Cheyenne Building, this brew pub offers a quirky, fun atmosphere and some of the best food and beer pairings in Colorado Springs. If you’re looking for a unique venue for a party, reception, or other event, Phantom Canyon also offers a banquet hall perfect for any occasion.
10 Buffalo Court, Divide, CO 80814
(1,500 barrels) – Paradox sits high in the mountains, over 9,000 feet in elevation and produces some of the best local barrel-aged beer. Handcrafted to perfection, this brewpub only serves locally made selections that are guaranteed to please the palate. They also frequently book live music and entertainment in the tasting room!

(1,400 barrels) – Trinity is the best place for eco-conscious beer lovers to visit. Their entire operation was built with environmental sustainability in mind, from their organic, locally sourced ingredients to recycling and composting programs, this brewpub is making an impact in the community by reducing their impact on the greater world. Plus, they discount beers for anyone who joins their “Soul Runners” running club!
