They are a family-owned restaurant that is dedicated to delivering delicious pizza, using quality ingredients, and supporting a cause that’s near to their hearts. Stop by to grab a slice or two and learn about the work they are doing in our city.

Poor Richard’s is one of the O.G.s when it comes to New York style pizza in Colorado Springs. Downtown residents, workers, and visitors have loved this little haven for more than 50 years now. Head in to build your own pizza, grab a glass of wine, and catch a local musician playing some tunes on weekends. While you’re there, visit the adjoining toy store and bookstore, both full of treasures for the entire family!

7. Bambino’s Urban Pizzeria

Bambino’s Urban Pizzeria takes quality and transparency seriously. If you drop by the restaurant, you’ll find an “open performance kitchen” where you can watch the staff build and bake your pizza, see fresh herbs and vegetables being grown on the back wall, and peer into the shop’s “dough room,” where their homemade mozzarella and dough are created from scratch. Choose from one of their house pies or customize your own to fit your pizza craving. Bambino’s is located in the heart of downtown Colorado Springs and is the sister restaurant to the Skirted Heifer.

8. Basil & Barley

There’s nothing you can’t find at Basil & Barley. They offer more than 20 different varieties of pizza ranging from traditional classics to modern signatures. Whatever you decide (it’s a tough choice, we know), it’ll be a little slice of history, as each pizza is baked in an Acunto Neapolitan oven, which was imported directly from Naples, Italy. In addition to incredible pizza, this pizzeria also serves a wide selection of beers and wines to compliment your meal.

9. Duca’s Neapolitan Pizza

Duca’s Neapolitan Pizza is another stop on the Neapolitan train through Colorado Springs. Bite into a slice from this local joint and be transported to an Italian village. While it is a chain restaurant that was founded in Albuquerque, NM, Il Vicino has become a main staple in Colorado Springs. Its location in the popular University Village makes it a great spot to grab lunch or dinner after checking out some of the local shops. They have a fantastic selection of wines and bears and they offer a spread of pizza varieties.

12. White Pie

White Pie brought New Haven style pizza to downtown Colorado Springs, and we couldn’t be happier about it. Their hand-tossed pizza has a thin crust that bubbles in the heat of the oven. While they have other things to tempt your tastebuds like roasted cauliflower, salads, and even cannolis, we recommend their signature White Pie pizza. It’s made with crème fraîche, mushrooms, bacon, garlic, mozzarella, and is topped off with a sunny-side up egg in the center – you can’t go wrong by ordering it!

🍕White Pie occasionally is a featured culinary destination on our 3-Hour Original Colorado Springs Food Tour!

With five locations across the city, there’s no reason to deprive yourself of the local chain’s delicious pies and other Italian treats. If you’re looking for delivery or to dine in, look no further than this Spring’s favorite. Don’t forget to grab a side of cheesy bread (garlic bread topped with mozzarella) — you’ll thank us later.

Stellina Pizza Cafe is tucked inside the historic Mid Shooks Run Neighborhood.
