There’s nothing sweeter than picking your own produce from an open-air market and then preparing a custom picnic or farm-fresh at-home meal. No matter the day of the week, there are plenty of farmer’s markets to choose from in Colorado Springs. From fresh fruits and vegetables to gourmet salsas, olive oils, and pastas, you’ll find the right ingredients for this recipe of romance. Enjoy the summer heat at one of our popular outdoor festivals featuring food, drink, and music! There might be a crowd, but you and your babe will feel like you’re the only ones as you walk arm-in-arm enjoying all of the sights, sounds, and people watching. Some festivals are so popular among locals that they sell out – best to plan for your adventure early! Here are a few of our favorite festivals in Colorado Springs including links for ticketing:

Head about an hour north to experience the serene beauty and captivating landscape of the Denver Botanic Gardens. Your love will grow roots as you meander through the countless paths of exotic flowers, shrubs, and trees. During the summer months, you can relax on the lawn will enjoying an outdoor live concert (they sell out early!). They host other special events as well including a Lavender Festival on July 21. Hear the roar of the crowds, grab a hot dog, and cheer on the home team during a summer night ballgame. Downtown Denver comes alive with everyone focused on having a good time and bringing home the win. Cuddle up – you might get caught on the kiss-cam! View the upcoming schedule here.
It’s all fun and games at one of these arcades! Tap into your inner child at the famous Penny Arcade located in Manitou Springs. Where else can you play Skeeball, horse racing, and pinball, all in their original glory? The arcade sits adjacent to the historic Manitou Springs Spa building and two mineral springs. For a more adult crowd, head to Supernova located in Downtown Colorado Springs. Grab a libation at the bar and then play vintage video games including Pac-Man, Frogger, and Centipede.
You’ve practiced gazing into each others’ eyes, now gaze at a work of art at one of our acclaimed local museums. Impress your special someone with your intellectual side as you journey back into history, learn about the Wild West, or contemplate abstract art. There are many local museums to choose from, so weave one into your fun (and educational!) date.

Explore Garden of the Gods with Academy Riding Stables or see the amazing vistas of the Rocky Mountains with Old Stage Riding Stables. A breath of fresh air might be the ticket for you and your love to connect!
Create a shared interest with your special someone by taking a class to learn something new. Build your teamwork by engaging in an activity that is both fun and educational. There are a lot of different classes you could take (like art or dance), but we of course are partial to food! Learn how to make goat cheese from The Goat Cheese Lady or head to Denver to take a wine or cheese making class with Wine & Whey.
Don’t stay at home for this game night – hit the town for several fun games you can enjoy together or with a group! Team up for trivia at Geeks Who Drink, which is hosted on different nights of the week all throughout the city. Looking for a little more live action? Check out Battlefield Colorado, an outdoor laser tag park located in Downtown Colorado Springs.
